++ positive review--- I returned my car today after a long 2000-mile trip that was made annoying bc the cruise control didn't work properly on the car-- the staffer was nice, and after she checked me in, decided to offer me a discount on my final cost. I was really appreciative, since that's really unusual behavior from a company like this (from my hundreds of rentals), and I'll definitely keep using enterprise whenever I need to rent a car for travel.
Employees here are always nice, helpful, and efficient. Cars are clean and in good condition. Prices are better than most.
If I could give negative stars I would, but this forces me to give one star-which is more than inflated! This office is the epitome of horrendous. I had to rent a vehicle at the last minute. - I made my reservation on line, and requested a Standard size vehicle. When I get there, low and behold, they have NO CARS. - I end up with compact SUV (Jeep-something). My husband is 6' 3"- I am not quite sure what was expected to fit in this go kart of an SUV, but by the time we would get home, his knees would be indented from being squished into the front dash area - I also have two kids- one in a car seat and one who is 6f'.. a compact SUV just does not work- hence standard size vehicle rental. - But this location does not offer to go get another car that is better suited and pretty much, i am stuck with this compactor.
Excellent experience. I even changed my mind at the last second and wanted a different color car after already doing all the paperwork for the first car, and they were totally cool about that. Love their patience and can-do attitude. PLUS NO AIRPORT SALES TAX to pay when renting at this Clackamas location. You guys are awesome. Thanks!
By Sunday, we realize that we will have to extend our rental for another week, however , Clackamas location is not open on Sunday. So, we go to a location that is open on Sunday. The gentleman , Josh at that location was very pleasant, accommodating. He could clearly see we were unhappy and uncomfortable with the current situation. Within 10 minutes, we were in a vehicle that fit all of us - and any extras. ---> NOW, At this point i am under the impression that my contract has moved to the second location we visited. - Now on week 4, we still have not received our car back from the shop- so i call the second location on 7/12/17 to renew my lease again. I have renewed my lease every Wednesday, with the second location and i have never been told I need to go into or call the Clackamas to renew my lease/rental.
Manager was super courteous and friendly to my daughter who had a rental because of an accident. Could not have asked for better service and professionalism definitely recommend this place.
Low and behold i get a call from "Alena" (not sure of the spelling) at the Clackamas store today- she tells me that i need to renew my deposit on the vehicle., and that i have some outrageous balance due. When i tell her what i was told at location B, and that as of Wednesday i had a deposit already sitting on my credit card and i will pay my one weeks balance when i return the vehicle - all of the sudden she can see some of these things but in the next sentence tells me i still owe some astronomical amount. Everything was a contradiction - nothing was consistent and then speaks to me as if I am an idiot. I am telling you what is on your computer screen and when you go looking for it - you somehow find some things i am telling you but not others- I am not clear if the training within their systems is just with her, or with the company as a whole. I am not sure what value add there was in her telling me that she does the back office work for the location, because for me, at this point, it seems you would put someone in the back office who has no customer service skills. But even more awkward is what back office does Clackamas have with me, i have not associated myself to that store in over 3 weeks.
In addition to this, she tells me that I have to get into the store right now to renew this deposit. - BTW, just like you I am at work, and unlike you i took care of this on Wednesday at the other location. So considering this Enterprise employee feels like she can talk to customers like they are less than, ignorant or unworthy of respect, i would encourage the communication within the company to be stronger. As long as Enterprise has been in business, the ability to have notes on a customers file about any relevant issue, special need/accommodations, mishaps would help the next agent out, and most likely your business.
I rent many vehicles a year, - for business travel, personal travel, quick beach trips, mountain trips. or any other reason i feel necessary- there is no way i would return to this location. And based on how my visit goes to the second location, I will be back to all social media and all other pages that offer the ability to review. I would rather pay the extra buck to be valued as a customer instead of "going the extra mile" to be treated so incredibly disrespectful .
