Very nice hotel. The room is clean and well decorated. My only complaint is that the water temperature of the shower does not stay constant. The bed is stiff, yet comfortable. The AC unit isn't annoying if it is set to constant fan. Everything is pretty much standard for this type of hotel. Best choice for this part of town.
We needed an hotel for two nights in Portland, to bookend a visit to the Mount St Helens volcanic national park. This Courtyard met our expectations perfectly.
Very nice hotel. Beds were comfortable and room was spacious and clean. They did a good job with this hotel and enjoyed the location. Target and many restaurants surround the area.
On the second day we headed east on I-84 up the south side of the Columbia river. Returning west on SR-14 that evening, we had a ringside view across the river of the forest fires on the south side.

I have stayed here a few times and the service is always really great. One time they had construction going on and they put out little construction candies and snacks, it was adorable. And now they have newly remodeled rooms, so that is also a good thing :) The pool is indoor, and it's great to hand out there if you have kids, but if you are looking for solitude, probably stay away. It's a pretty small pool and there's usually kids in it.
The car park provides easy access from j14 of the 205 down the east side of Portland. We had considered eating out but were in fact amazed by the excellent meals (and smiling pleasant service) delivered by a pleasant lady called Theresa in the Bistro on both nights.
Great staff, rooms and amenities. We stayed here with an emergency home repair, with a 5 month old and were looking for a place that felt as safe and comfy as possible. We actually ended up feeling like it was a vacation! Great pool, hot tub, lounge and restaurant area, and increadibly friendly staff. A really nice hotel for a reasonable price.
If ever in Portland again, we shall return to the Courtyard.
